On Sunday, June 23, 2024, at approximately 2254 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at 526B Willis Avenue, within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 54-year-old male with a laceration to the face.
The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.
On Wednesday, July 17, 2024, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following individual was arrested and charged on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, at 2025 hours, in the confines of the 40th Precinct.

- murder in the 2nd degree;
- manslaughter in the 1st degree.
The investigation remains ongoing.
