On Sunday, May 24, 2026, at approximately 0017 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot in front of 2201 Haviland Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers were informed a 29-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital by private means, where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
