Alex Rodriguez is reportedly dating Jennifer Lopez.

Who else can make news like Alex Rodriguez?

Seriously. The guy is no longer playing baseball, yet he still manages to grab headlines. Earlier in the week, he inked a multi-year deal with Fox Sports to be a full-time baseball analyst. Now, there are reports surfacing that A-Rod is dating Jennifer Lopez a.k.a JLo.

According to celebrity gossiper B. Scott, a source said the two have been dating for a “couple months.”

The source added:

“He was with her in Vegas during this latest leg of her Planet Hollywood Vegas show. They were all coupled up behind the scenes, not public, but absolutely not hiding their relationship around close friends and family. It is definitely for real.”

Page Six confirmed the original report, and gave a little more dirt on the relationship from a source close to the new power couple:

“They are really into each other because they have so much in common — from their Latin roots, to their love of New York, and their kids.”

Now say it with me: awwwwwwwww. Good for A-Rod. He seems to be moving on from his previous relationship with Silicon Valley billionaire businesswoman, Anne Wojcicki. The two had been dating for about a year before their breakup was made public last month. JLo, too, seems to have turned the page on that small fling with Drake we heard about recently.

This is a match made in nickname heaven; two pioneers of the shortened name-game teaming up as one. Can you imagine the headlines we can get out of this? You know the tabloids in NYC are foaming at the mouth at the sheer thought of an JLo/A-Rod relationship.

The only question I have is why has not this happened sooner? Do they not seem perfect for each other? Now all we need is a double date between these two new lovebirds and Mr. and Mrs. Jeter.
