Jaryan Elliot, 13, Murdered

On Sunday, July 11, 2021, at approximately 1518 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot in front of 743 E. 187th Street, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

Upon arrival, police observed a 13-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his chest and leg.

EMS also responded and transported the male to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect and the vehicle, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, wanted in connection to the above-listed homicide.

The vehicle is described as a dark-colored Honda Accord, with three orange stripes on the hood.

Photographs of the vehicle were taken in the vicinity of Prospect Avenue and E. 187th Street.

The vehicle was seen fleeing eastbound on E. 187th Street and turning left onto northbound Southern Boulevard.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect’s vehicle are attached and available at DCPI.
