On Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at approximately 1202 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress in front of 1097 Boston Road, within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a 16-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the neck.
EMS also responded to the scene and transported the male to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
