Jailyn Wagner, 20, Arrested For The Murder Of Roman Martinez, 39

On Monday, July 29, 2024, at approximately 1952 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an unconscious aided at E. 176 Street and Mohegan Avenue, within the confines of the 48^th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 39-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the head.

EMS responded and pronounced the victim deceased on scene.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 20-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Monday, February 17, 2025, at 0800 hours, within the confines of the 48^th Precinct.

Charges:

murder in the 2^nd degree;
manslaughter in the 1^st degree;
criminal possession of a weapon in the 2^nd degree.

The investigation remains ongoing.
