On Saturday, August 23, 2025, at approximately 1927 hours, police received a 911 call reporting multiple people shot at Burke Avenue and Wickham Avenue, within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers located a 32-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his chest and a 17-year-old female with a gunshot wound to her face.
EMS responded and transported both victims to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi in critical condition, where the 32-year-old male was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The 17-year-old female is listed in critical condition.
Additionally, police were informed of multiple individuals who were transported by private means to local area hospitals.
A 30-year-old male was transported by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi with a gunshot wound to his back and is listed in stable condition.
A 29-year-old female was transported by private means to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi with a gunshot wound to her back and was listed in stable condition.
Lastly, a 42-year-old male was transported by private means to Montefiore Hospital with a gunshot wound to his arm and is listed in stable condition.
Four individuals were taken into custody at this time the investigation remains ongoing.
