On Saturday, March 8, 2025, at approximately 0247 hours, police responded to a 911 call of a person, shot inside of 38 Somers Street, within the confines of the 73rd Precinct in Brooklyn.

Upon arrival, officers observed a 45-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded and transported the victim to NYC Health and Hospitals / Kings County, where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, detectives have submitted a surveillance photograph, depicting an individual, wanted in connection to this incident.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police, that the victim was shot by an unidentified individual in front of 142 Rockaway Avenue, who later fled the scene in a black four-door Cadillac SUV to parts unknown.
The sought individual is described as an adult male, Black, with a dark skin complexion, slim build, with braids and facial hair.
He was last seen wearing a dark-blue hooded sweatshirt, light-colored grey jeans with black-and-white sneakers.
