The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Wednesday, February 09, 2022, at approximately 2155 hours, in front of 408 E. Tremont Avenue, the victim, a 39-year-old female, was operating an MTA bus, when an unidentified male individual exited the bus and retrieved a tree branch and returned into the bus, striking the victim in the right arm.

The male individual then threw the tree branch towards the victim before fleeing on foot to parts unknown.

The victim refused medical attention at the scene.

The individual is described as a male with a light complexion, approximately 30 to 40 years of age, with salt and pepper facial hair, partially bald and last seen wearing a brown hoodie jacket, light blue jeans and black sneakers.
