The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the individual, who is seen in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is sought in connection with an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Monday, September 13, 2021, at approximately 1125 hours, in front of 1180 Brook Avenue, the 41-year-old male victim was on his phone with his head down, when an unidentified individual approached and punched the victim in the face.

The attack was unprovoked.

The individual then fled the location to parts unknown.

The victim sustained a broken nose and was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.

The individual being sought is described as a male in his 30’s, Black, approximately 5’07” tall, weighing 180 lbs., with a dark complexion, fit build and short, balding hair.

He was last seen shirtless and wearing blue shorts with white on the sides, a black backpack and dark sneakers.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.
