The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, depicted in the attached surveillance video clip, who is sought in connection with an assault, which occurred within the confines of the 40th Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Wednesday, June 09, 2021, at 0455 hours, in front of 501 Brook Avenue, an unidentified male approached the victim, a 28-year-old male, and struck him in the back of his head with a cobblestone.
The unidentified male stomped on the victim’s head and upper back, then picked up a different stone and struck the victim with it.
The victim suffered severe head trauma and was transported to Lincoln Hospital in critical condition.
The unidentified male fled on foot eastbound on E. 147th Street.
An adult female passerby discovered the victim a short time later and called 911.
Video is attached. The first clip shows the incident. The second and third clips show the unidentified male walking in the vicinity of the incident, shortly before the incident.
