The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an assault, that occurred within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.

The following was reported to police.

On Friday, January 08, 2020, at approximately 1455 hours, in front of 2301 Jerome Avenue (Family Dollar store), an unidentified male individual approached a 48-year-old male victim from behind and stabbed the victim in the upper back.

The individual then fled, on foot, northbound along Jerome Avenue, before entering a black van and driving from the location.

The victim was transported to an area hospital in stable condition, where he was treated and released.

The individual is described as a dark-skinned adult male, 30’s-40’s, medium build, bald; he was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a dark blue long-sleeved shirt, dark colored pants and blue sneakers.

The vehicle he drove away in was a black van with white signage on the side and green and red pin-striping towards the bottom frame.
