The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photographs and video clip, who is sought in connection with a robbery/carjacking, which occurred within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at approximately 1545 hours, a 20-year-old male victim was seated in his vehicle in front of 2039 Westchester Avenue when he was approached by an unidentified individual, who displayed a firearm and forcibly removed the victim’s black Chevrolet sedan with the victim still inside the vehicle. A struggle ensued between the victim and the individual inside of the vehicle and the victim was able to remove a magazine and loose rounds from the firearm.
The unidentified individual operating the vehicle then struck an elevated train partition, rendering the vehicle inoperable, before fleeing on foot westbound on Westchester Avenue towards Pugsley Avenue.
The victim refused medical attention.
