The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted regarding a robbery, that occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at approximately 0840 hours, in front of 1221 Prospect Avenue, a 51-year-old female victim was walking, when an unidentified individual approached her from behind and snatched a necklace off her neck, before fleeing southbound on foot towards Prospect Avenue.
Although the victim sustained a minor injury to her neck, she refused medical attention.
The individual is described as an adult male, Black, approximately 5’08” tall, with a stocky build, a beard and short dark hair.
He was last seen wearing a red baseball cap, a white t-shirt, red shorts, black socks and white sneakers.
