The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the individual depicted in the attached photographs in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at approximately 1047 hours, inside of 240 E. 174 Street (New China restaurant), the individual snatched the victim’s wallet from his hand and ran out of the location.

The individual fled the scene on foot westbound on E. 174 Street. Among the items inside the victim’s wallet were $140 in cash.

The individual is described as a male, Black, slim build, approximately 40 to 50 years old; last seen wearing a dark colored coat and dark colored pants.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
