The New York City Police Department is asking the public’s assistance identifying the individual depicted in the attached surveillance photos in connection to a grand larceny that occurred within the confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at 1400 hours, inside Smart Boys Telecommunications Store located at 235 E. 181 Street, an unknown individual did remove an iPhone XS Max from an unlocked cabinet, placed it into her purse and fled the location in an unknown direction.

There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

The individual is described as an adult female Black with long black hair. She was last seen wearing a burgundy scrubs-style shirt and blue jeans.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
