The New York City Police Department is asking the public for assistance with locating and identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection to a grand larceny incident, which occurred within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On May 12, 2021, at approximately 2230 hours, on a southbound BX32 Bus in the vicinity of E. 172nd Street and Morris Avenue, a 55-year-old male was using his cellphone, when an unknown individual snatched the phone from his hands.

The individual then fled the bus on foot southbound on Morris Avenue.

A surveillance video clip and a photograph of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers‘ website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
