On Monday, April 26, 2021, at approximately 1730 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an aided child inside of Bronx Lebanon Hospital, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers were informed by hospital staff that a 2-year-old male was transported to the hospital, unconscious and unresponsive, with no obvious signs of trauma.
The 2-year-old male was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
