In a political landscape often dominated by one-sided narratives, a bold voice is rising from the Bronx—and he is bringing momentum with him. Gonzalo Duran, the Conservative and Republican candidate for New York City Public Advocate, is set to host what he calls “the largest conservative fundraiser in New York City” on Saturday, June 14, 2025 in the South Bronx.
More than just an event, this fundraiser represents a turning point. It is not only a personal milestone for Duran—it is a rallying cry for a new generation of Conservative and Republican leaders seeking visibility, viability, and victory in the upcoming 2025 election.

A Vision Fueled by Action
“I’ve been working nonstop—helping candidates get on the ballot through petitioning, organizing public forums, and walking the boroughs to connect directly with constituents,” Duran said during a recent interview. “Right now, times are tough. Trump’s victory isn’t the only victory we need. We have our own battles to fight here in New York.”
The Bronx-based veteran and nonprofit leader knows the road ahead is uphill—but for Duran, that’s nothing new. His campaign is about grit, service, and building unity where others have only seen division.
“This fundraiser isn not just about my race for Public Advocate,” he added. “It is about giving our local Conservative and Republican candidates the resources they need to be seen and heard. Visibility is everything—and without it, we are fighting an invisible war.”
Raising Funds, Raising Hope
Duran is calling on supporters from all corners of the city to attend and back the movement. Set at the spacious Marisco Centro restaurant in the Bronx Terminal Market, the event will accommodate over 100 guests, with tickets priced at just $50—a deliberate effort to keep the fundraiser affordable and inclusive. Sponsorships start at $250, allowing donors to directly support future political forums and grassroots outreach efforts.
“If you cannot attend, sponsor someone who can. Or simply contribute to the cause,” Duran said. “Every dollar brings us closer to breaking through the noise and giving voters a real choice in 2025.”

Bridging the Divide
When asked why fellow conservative leader Curtis Sliwa did not receive the Conservative Party line, Duran responded diplomatically: “I do not know the exact reason. But what I do know is this—I have worked tirelessly for two and a half years to bridge the gap between the Republican and Conservative Parties in New York.”
That work has paid off. Today, Gonzalo Duran is the dual nominee for both parties—a rare and significant accomplishment for any candidate, let alone one running for the city’s second-highest elected office. This marks the first time in over three consecutive citywide election cycles that a Conservative Party member has received endorsements from both the Republican and Conservative parties.
“I stand proudly endorsed by both,” Duran said. “And at this fundraiser, I will be joined by two of the most influential names from each party. One is my mentor. The other is my hero. This moment is the highlight of my political journey.”
More Than a Fundraiser—A Movement
With just weeks before the event, excitement is already building. For Duran, this is not about flashy speeches or empty promises. It is about building something real—a movement rooted in unity, courage, and public service.
“This is our moment,” Duran says. “And it starts with this fundraiser.”
