Mercy Center, Red de Pueblos Trasnacionales, and Bronx Legal Services will host a Free Clinic on Saturday, October 21, 2023, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. and 04:00 p.m. at Mercy Center at 377 E 145th St, Bronx, NY 10454.
The event aims to help Bronx residents, in particular immigrant, mixed status, and Limited English Proficient households, file claim applications to replace skimmed or stolen EBT, SNAP and Cash Benefits.
Community members or referring organizations can make an appointment by calling 718-233-1370, filling out a registration form here, or simply showing up the day of the event. Metrocards will be provided.
More than 22,000 New Yorkers filed claims regarding the theft of electronic benefits since 2022, according to New York’s Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance, representing over $17 million in stolen benefits.
