It was reported to police that on Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 0235 hours, inside of 2170 University Avenue, a 20-year-old male victim was approached by an unidentified individual who stabbed him once in the chest with a knife.
The victim was removed to St. Barnabas hospital in critical condition.
On Friday, December 27, 2019, at 1420 hours, the victim was pronounced deceased at St. Barnabas Hospital.
Following proper family notification, the victim was identified as follows.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following 19-year-old male suspect was arrested in regard to this incident.

The investigation remains ongoing.
