On Sunday, September 29, 2024, at approximately 1350 hours, police responded to a 911 call for a person, shot in the vicinity of E. 182nd Street and Mapes Avenue, within the confines of the 48th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the head.
EMS responded to the location and pronounced the male deceased on scene.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
