On Sunday, July 04, 2021, at approximately 0410 hours, police responded to a 911 call of two males, shot in front of 866 E. 172nd Street, within in the confines of the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed two individuals with gunshot wounds: a 22-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and arm, and a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound to the buttocks.
EMS also responded to the location and transported both victims to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where the 22-year-old male was pronounced deceased.
The 27-year-old male is currently listed in stable condition.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation the following 34-year-old male individual has been arrested and charged.

- assault;
- murder;
- manslaughter;
- criminal possession of a weapon.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
