On Tuesday May 7, 2019, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. hosted a “Construction Career Information Session,” for residents looking to learn about employment opportunities in the construction industry.

Union leaders and elected officials met with residents, including military veterans, to share information on how to qualify for construction industry jobs, pre-apprentice training and access to direct-entry unionized apprenticeship programs.

The event was co-hosted by the Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York.
