Clarence Woodward, 39, Arrested For The Murder Of Jose Miranda, 45

On Thursday, August 8, 2024 at approximately 0242 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at College Avenue and E. 170th Street, within the confines of the 44th Precinct in the Bronx.

Upon arrival, inside of 301 E. 170 Street, officers observed a 47-year-old male with stab wounds to the back and an unidentified male with stab wounds to the legs and torso.

EMS responded and transported the 47-year-old male victim to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln in stable condition.

The unidentified male victim was also transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Lincoln, where he was pronounced deceased.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 39-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Thursday, August 8, 2024, at 2304 hours in the confines of the 44th Precinct.

Brooklyn, NY 11216

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • manslaughter in the 1st degree;
  • assault in the 2nd degree (2 counts).

The investigation remains ongoing.
