Chad Irish, 55, Arrested For The Murder Of Yazmeen Williams, 31

On Friday, July 5, 2024, at approximately 1653 hours, officers responded to a report of a suspicious package in front of 207 E. 27th Street, within the confines of the 13th Precinct in Manhattan.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an unconscious and unresponsive person inside a plastic bag.

EMS responded and pronounced the aided deceased at the scene

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, it was determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner that the person discovered was a 31-year-old female, who suffered a gunshot wound to the head, and it was deemed a homicide on July 7, 2024.

Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to the ongoing investigation, the following 55-year-old male individual was arrested and charged on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 1605 hours, within the confines of the 13th Precinct.

Charges:

  • murder in the 2nd degree;
  • concealment of a human corpse;
  • criminal possession of a weapon in the 2nd degree.

The investigation remains ongoing.
