Two young entrepreneurial brothers from the neighborhood are taking the transportation world by storm.

Shlomo Chkifati, 24-year-old co-founder and  his brother Albert, age 26 of Luxor Limo, started their career as drivers for another local transportation company when they were teenagers. Six months in, they decided that together they could run a limousine service on their own and a lot better.

Like most millennial entrepreneurs they had nothing to lose. So they threw their hat in the ring.

The company incorporated in 2003. They started with one car and set out to serve the entire New York metro area. Since then, the duo has built an organization of 35 employees and 27 company-owned luxury vehicles. Fifty percent of the company¹s business comes from corporate customers; the rest from individual customers. The team¹s greatest source of new business is word of mouth.

“We are very proud of what we have built together,”  says  Shlomo Chkifati “Luxor is a professional, reliable and affordable transportation alternative to a yellow cab or even Uber and thanks to our automated, state-of-the-art reservation and fulfillment system, we can be just as responsive.”

Luxor offers 24-hour service and has a fleet ranging from town cars and sedans to limousines. They are available for everything from a quick ride to the train station from work  – to airport transport. And they also cater to special events such as proms, weddings and corporate outings.
