A 26-year-old Bronx man is facing felony charges after police found him in possession of a loaded gun and about 1 kilogram of cocaine.
Jose Fernandez-Vargas, of 2335 Valentine Avenue, was charged with felony counts of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Fernandez-Vargas’ arrest came shortly after 6:30 p.m. Wednesday when authorities pulled over his 2010 Nissan.
Investigators said they found $36,000 worth of cocaine and a loaded .22-caliber handgun. Fernandez
