On July 10, 2009, The Bronx Center to Reduce & Eliminate Ethnic & Racial Health Disparities (Bronx CREED) of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine will host a free day-long conference at Fordham University entitled “Building Healthy Neighborhoods: Working Together to Achieve Health Equity in the Bronx.”
This day-long conference is designed to bring together community members, community and faith-based leaders, academic professionals, public health practitioners, clinicians, students, educators, and policy makers to discuss and promote successful strategies for overcoming health inequities. All are welcome!
Workshop Topics Include:
o Live Well, Live Long: Promoting Healthy Life Choices
o Partnership in Action: Improving the Physical and Social Environments
o Addressing the Social and Economic Determinants of Health: The Burden of Poverty, Housing, and Hunger
