The Stella D’Oro Biscuit Company factory in Bronx, NY, where 134 workers on strike since last August have been replaced, must reinstate the workers and pay them wages with interest going back to last August.
This was deicded in a 32-page ruling on Tuesday, by Steven Davis, an administrative law judge with the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, DC.
Grounds for the rulling were a number of illegal actions on Stella D’Oro’s part against the striking workers, who have been living on unemployment benefits or benefits from their union’s strike fund.
The company may appeal the ruling to the National Labor Relations Board in Washington, DC.
