Police are searching for suspect believed to be in his 20s who ripped two gold chains off the neck of a man he followed into an elevator in Bronx earlier this month.
Authorities say the suspect followed the victim into an elevator in an apartment building on Morris Avenue on the afternoon of May 16, 2013. When the victim attempted to leave the elevator, the suspect grabbed him and stole two gold chains from his neck, then ran off, police said.
The victim suffered minor injuries in the robbery.
The suspect is described as being 5 feet 9 inches tall with short black hair. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans.
