The Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) is pleased to announce an exciting new resource launched in the summer of 2020 as part of our renewed Membership Program: the BCA Bronx Artist Registry (BAR).
Functioning as a comprehensive directory of local artists, the Registry is accessible on BCA’s website and allows artists of all disciplines, particularly those with a minimal online presence, to gain visibility among BCA’s 4K monthly website visitors from The Bronx and beyond. Artists can create their own profiles and upload selected work samples (images, video, text), as well a bio, professional statement, contact information, and more!
BCA’s Bronx Artist Registry facilitates organizations and/or individuals to easily find artists for commissioning work, public art projects, and other revenue earning opportunities while helping create a network of artists who can now find each other and connect through a simple web-based interface.
This project is part of BCA’s ongoing goal to support our borough’s artists with the most effective and innovative resources and is a component of a robust Membership Program launched in the summer of 2020.

About Bronx Council On The Arts
Founded by visionary community leaders in 1962, the Bronx Council on the Arts (BCA) is dedicated to advancing cultural equity in Bronx. From creative placemaking and arts advocacy to the provision of services for artists and arts organizations, as well as programming for children and seniors, BCA was the first organization in Bronx to focus equally on supporting local artists, serving the community, and catalyzing relationships between the two.
Since its founding, BCA has focused on the work of underrepresented groups, especially artists of color, women, and members of the LGBTQ community. We provide direct services to over 1,000 artists and 250 community-based arts groups each year, and thanks to our granting programs, we are able to touch the lives of over thousands of audience members.
