On Monday, August 31, 2020, Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. continued his push to keep parks clean meeting volunteers to help clean up Soundview Park, as part of his #MeaningfulMonday initiative.
The #MeaningfulMonday initiative, going on into its seventh week, is an opportunity for community groups, elected officials, and residents to become more involved in the beautification of our borough parks and helping keep green spaces clean, while promoting volunteerism, civic engagement and neighborhood pride among Bronxites.Other officials that have joined in the #MeaningfulMonday cause include Council Member Vanessa Gibson, Council Member Diana Ayala New York City Council Member Mark Gjonaj, New York City Council Member Andrew Cohen, Council Member Andy King, New York State Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, New York State Assemblywoman Latoya Joyner, New York State Senator Jamaal Bailey, and New York State Senator Jose M. Serrano.
“If you are an organization or a group of individuals who would like to select a park for clean-up, please feel free to reach via our social media platforms and we will arrange the resources for you to clean the park/green space,” said Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.
