In accordance with apostolic teachings of community service and love for our neighbor, The Light of the World church is hosting its 4th Asthma Event in the Bronx to provide local families with critical health resources. Following the format established during the first three successful events, this upcoming health fair will take place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 2526 Wallace Avenue, Bronx, NY 10467.
As with the previous three gatherings, the event will focus on the core themes established previously regarding the primitive church—highlighting a return to foundations, community unity, mutual care, and protecting the well-being of the most vulnerable. This 4th installment continues an urgent mission to address high childhood asthma rates in the Bronx, offering residents free tools to manage respiratory health and improve local environmental wellness.
Event highlights include:
- Foundation of Care: Echoing the primitive church model of communal support, neighbors helping neighbors navigate healthcare challenges together.
- Trigger Management: Expert tips to identify and eliminate common indoor and outdoor asthma triggers.
- Inhaler Training: Hands-on workshops demonstrating proper inhaler and spacer techniques for children and adults.
- Free Health Resources: Distribution of educational materials, wellness items, and family-friendly activities.
We are hosting this 4th event tomorrow to ensure Bronx families get immediate, actionable support to breathe easier, looking out for one another just as we have highlighted since our very first gathering.
This event is entirely free and open to all Bronx residents, parents, caregivers, and individuals living with chronic respiratory conditions.
