Community members are invited to attend the 3rd Free Asthma Community Health Event on Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Hunts Point Recreation Center, located at 765 Manida Street, Bronx, NY 10474.

Hosted by La Luz Del Mundo Restauración de la Primitiva Iglesia Cristiana, this open to the public free community health event will provide residents with important information about asthma and other respiratory conditions, while promoting wellness and preventive care for families across the Bronx.

Designed to educate and engage the community, the event will feature interactive booths focused on a range of respiratory and health topics, including asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), sleep apnea, and blood pressure awareness. Children and families can also enjoy kids activities, while attendees will have access to refreshments and giveaways throughout the afternoon.

As an added highlight, attendees will have a chance to participate in a free air purifier raffle, reinforcing the event’s focus on respiratory health and healthy living environments.

Organizers say the event aims to empower Bronx residents with practical knowledge and resources to better manage asthma and related respiratory diseases, while connecting the community to health education in an accessible and welcoming setting.

“With respiratory illnesses continuing to impact families throughout our communities, events like this help bring education, awareness, and support directly to the people who need it most,” organizers said.

The event is free and open to the public. Community members of all ages are encouraged to attend.
