On Sunday, December 7, 2025, at approximately 2107 hours, New York City Police Department (NYPD) police officers responded to a 911 call of a male, shot inside of 1744 Watson Avenue, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct / Police Service Area 8 in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 38-year-old male who sustained a gunshot wound to the head inside of a stairwell at the location.
The male was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals / Jacobi, where he was pronounced deceased.
A person of interest was taken into custody and the investigation remains ongoing.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
