On Saturday, July 10, 2021, at approximately 1416 hours, police responded to a call of a fire inside 1211 Manor Avenue, Apt. 2, within the confines of the 43rd Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, FDNY personnel extinguished the fire and located a 71-year-old male, lying unconscious and unresponsive, with three stab wounds to his neck.
EMS responded and transported the victim to Jacobi Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.

Pursuant to an ongoing investigation, the following 28-year-old male suspect has been arrested and charged.

Charges:
- arson;
- murder;
- manslaughter.
The investigation remains ongoing.
All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
