The free event turns Grand Central’s Vanderbilt Hall into a “staycation station” for exploring great places to go and things to do, enjoy music performances and enter to win great getaway prizes.
This free event highlights a wide range of special, wallet-friendly discount rail packages to more than 25 attractions, destinations, historic treasures. cultural venues around New York City, the Hudson Valley and Connecticut. “The Staycation Showcase is a wonderful way for us to help our customers discover how easy and economical it is to hop on Metro-North, experience popular attractions, and become tourists in their own backyard,” said Catherine Rinaldi, Metro-North Railroad President. “This is our tenth year holding this event, one that supports our region’s economic growth and vitality.”
