A nurse and a security guard were shot in a hospital emergency room in the Mount Eden section of the Bronx earlier this evening.
The victims were innocent bystanders in an argument that broke out in the emergency room of the Bronx Lebanon Hospital at about 07:30 p.m., officials said.
Police said two groups had gotten into a dispute but did not immediately have more information on the nature of the conflict or the people involved.
The nurse and the security guard, both male, were being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
It was not immediately clear whether the suspects were in custody.
There have been no arrests made and the investigation remains ongoing.
