Welcome back to The Six-Digit Club, in which we take a look at a newish-to-market listing priced under $1 million, because nice things sometimes come in small packages.
If you are contemplating leaving New York City for a more countrified lifestyle but afraid you’ll miss the Big Apple too much, there may be a compromise (sort of). A 750-square-foot co-op in Bronx’s Riverdale neighborhood is offering “country club living” for a low price of just $240,000.
As you can see from the photos, the current owner has designed the apartment to make it as down home as it can get. But décor aside, the apartment provides great value for its price, if you do not mind living way off the beaten path. The kitchen is relatively large and filled with wood cabinets along with stainless steel appliances. Though there is not a floorplan, the listing description promises “ample closets.” It is also nice that the apartment boasts a private balcony.
The building offers some decent amenities as well. There is a “professionally run fitness club with Olympic style pool,” tennis courts that illuminate for night enjoyment, a laundry room, and since public transportation is a bit far, the building offers a shuttle to Metro North. Monthly maintenance is $856.
