On Friday, June 30, 2023, at approximately 0016 hours, police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress at W. 236th Street and Broadway, within the confines of the 50th Precinct in the Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 52-year-old male with multiple stab wounds to the torso.
The victim was transported to New York-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
A 58-year-old male person of interest was taken into custody at the scene.
