NYPD Officer, Jonathan Vargas, 28, Arrested

On Monday, May 25, 2020 at 0224 hours, the following 28-year-old male off-duty New York City employee was arrested and charged within the confines of the 52nd Precinct in the Bronx.

  • operating a motor vehicle with .08 of 1% alcohol in the blood;
  • driving while intoxicated.

The investigation remains ongoing.

All charges are merely accusations and all defendants are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
