The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph and video clip, who is wanted for questioning in connection to an attempted kidnapping incident, that occurred within the confines of the 46th Precinct / Transit District #11 in the Bronx.
Details are as follows.
It was reported to police that on Tuesday, March 16, 2021, at approximately 2117 hours, a 35-year-old female and her 8-year-old son entered the Fordham Road Station and proceeded toward the southbound D line platform.
While walking down the stairs an unidentified male approached them and grabbed the 8-year-old from his mother’s hand. The woman started screaming for help and immediately pulled her son away from the male, who kept staring at them.
The male then left the location as a crowd began to form.
No injuries were reported.
The unidentified male is described as being approximately 5’11” tall, weighing 170 lbs., with a medium complexion, slim build, black hair, last seen wearing a black hooded jacket, a gray hooded sweatshirt, a black “Yankees” baseball hat, light colored pants and carrying a black bag.
