The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of the unidentified male, seen in the attached surveillance photographs, who is sought in connection with menacing in transit, which occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct / Transit District 12 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

It was reported to police that on Sunday, May 16, 2021, at 1075 hours, on the stairs, leading up to the elevated subway tracks at Southern Boulevard and Freeman Street (2 & 5 lines), an unidentified male menaced the victim, a 19-year-old female, with a handgun, that he produced from the messenger bag he was carrying.

The unidentified male fled into the subway system.

The victim fled on foot for her safety.

No shots were fired and the victim was not injured.

Surveillance photographs of the suspect are attached and available at DCPI.
