A gunman wearing a sweatshirt adorned with an American flag shot two men in Bronx Wednesday afternoon, then fled the scene, police sources said.
One victim, 54, was struck in the left ankle. The other, 21, was hit in the hip and torso.
Both men were taken by EMS to Lincoln Hospital and are expected to survive.
The 1:05 p.m. shooting happened on Tinton Avenue, at the Forest Houses in Longwood.
It was not immediately clear who the gunman was aiming for or why.
He is black, has dreadlocks and was wearing an American flag sweater.
He was last seen running towards E. 165th Street.
Police recovered ballistic evidence at the scene.
