On Thursday, September 24, 2020, at 1630 hours, police were notified of a pedestrian, struck on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at approximately 1900 hours, within the confines of the 45th Precinct in the Bronx.
An investigation by the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad determined that an 81-year-old male was crossing Co Op City Boulevard from south to north at Dreiser Loop, when he was struck by an unknown vehicle, which was traveling north on Dreiser Loop and making a right turn on Co Op City Boulevard.
The vehicle fled the scene.
The pedestrian was transported to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased on Monday, October 11, 2020.
The NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.
Following proper family notification, the deceased has been identified as indicated.
