Liberty Coca-Cola Beverages proudly partnered with NYC H2O on Saturday, June 21, 2025, for the annual Bronx Community Cleanup and successfully removed more than 1,500 pounds of trash in the area around the intersection of Givan and Rombouts Avenues.

Supporting such an impactful event reaffirmed Liberty Coca-Cola’s deep commitment to environmental responsibility and community engagement in the borough — as well as support for NYC H2O’s local environmental education and stewardship efforts.

Along with removing tires, a windshield, an electric Citi Bike and other debris, the volunteers reclaim a sidewalk that had been lost under years of overgrowth and debris. The once-buried sidewalk is now walkable again, providing safe passage for residents and restoring pride in the neighborhood. The site also features a century-old sycamore tree — admired by the New York Botanical Garden— adding extra layers of historical and ecological significance to the effort.

City Councilmember Kevin Riley generously supported the effort.
