On Saturday, May 12, 2018 at approximately 01:54 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault in progress inside of 1600 Sedgwick Avenue, apartment 25F, within the confines of the 46 Precinct in Bronx.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 67-year-old female, unconscious and unresponsive, with stab wounds to the leg and neck, inside the bedroom. A 39-year-old female was discovered with slash wound to her left forearm. EMS responded to the location and pronounced the 67-year-old female deceased at the scene, while the 39-year-old female refused medical attention. A 60-year-old male was taken into custody at the scene and transported to Saint Barnabus Hospital in stable condition, with charges pending. The investigation remains ongoing.
