The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to a robbery, which occurred within the confines of the 42nd Precinct / Police Service Area 7 in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Friday, May 28, 2021, at approximately 1500 hours, the individual followed the 13-year-old male victim inside his residential apartment building in the vicinity of E. 166th Street and Forest Avenue (Forest Houses) and entered the elevator with him.

Once inside, the individual demanded the victim’s money. The victim stated he had no money, at which point the individual punched him in the face. He then rummaged through his pockets, and removed the victim’s iPhone and his coat. The individual fled once the elevator doors opened on an unknown floor.

The victim sustained a bruised lip but refused medical attention.

The individual is described as an adult male, Black, with braids.
