The New York City Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individual, depicted in the attached surveillance photograph, who is wanted in connection to a burglary, which occurred within the confines of the 47th Precinct in the Bronx.

Details are as follows.

On Friday, June 25, 2021, at approximately 0700 hours, the individual entered St. Barnabas Roman Catholic Church, located at 409 E. 241st Street.

After remaining inside the church for approximately one hour, the individual entered the lower level of the church and removed a religious vessel, called a Monstrance, made of solid gold.

Anyone with information related to this incident is asked to call the NYPD‘s Crime Stoppers hotline at 1800577TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 188857PISTA (74782). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stopperswebsite or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES), followed by entering TIP577.
